First pass on steel

A rotary test on a powder-coated flask. The mark holds; the jig needs work.

First proper run on the rotary attachment: a powder-coated flask, a name in caps mono, low power, two passes.

The mark itself is clean — the laser lifts the coating and leaves bright steel underneath, and it survived a week of washing without softening. What didn't survive was my patience with the jig: the flask walked a hair between passes, and on a 4mm letterform a hair is visible.

So the result is a good mark in slightly the wrong place. Logging it as a test cut. Before this goes near anything that leaves the studio, the rotary needs a stop that actually stops.
